How Smart Booking Assist Works

Modified on Tue, 31 Mar at 4:24 AM

Smart Booking Assist controls how soon a booking can be made, while always ensuring musicians have enough preparation time before an event.

Smart Booking Assist: Enabled

Clients can request last-minute bookings as long as the musician has enough preparation time.

  • Availability is based on: Event start time + buffer time before the event.
  • What this means: If there is enough time for the musician to prepare, the booking can proceed.

Smart Booking Assist: Disabled

Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Preparation time before the event is still included on top of this.

  • Availability is based on: 24 hours + event start time + buffer time before the event.
  • What this means: This musician does not accept last-minute bookings.

Example

  • Current time: 4:00 PM
  • Requested event start time: 5:15 PM
  • Buffer (preparation) time: 1 hour

Smart Booking Assist: Enabled

  • The musician has 1 hour 15 minutes to prepare — which meets the 1-hour buffer requirement.
  • ✓ Booking is allowed.

Smart Booking Assist: Disabled

  • Bookings require at least 24 hours’ notice. 5:15 PM is only 1 hour 15 minutes away.
  • ✗ Booking is not allowed.

ⓘ Important Notes Preparation time is always protected regardless of the setting. Musicians stay in control of how soon they can be booked, and clients only see booking times that are genuinely available.

You can enable or disable Smart Booking Assist at any time from your profile settings.
