1. Overview
The Messaging feature allows direct communication between clients, musicians, and moderators within the platform. It keeps all booking-related conversations in one place, making it easy to discuss event details, ask questions, and coordinate before and after a booking.
- You can search existing conversations using the Search bar on the left panel.
- Switch between All and Unread tabs to filter your conversations.
- Each conversation displays the other party's name, last message preview, and time of last activity.
- When viewing a conversation, you can see the other party's last seen time and their local time, helping you communicate across different timezones.
- The right panel shows the other party's profile details, including country, city, rating, and membership level.
2. Who Can Send Messages?
Messaging permissions differ depending on your role on the platform.
Clients
- Clients can initiate a conversation and send messages directly to a musician's profile.
- This allows clients to ask questions, discuss event details, or follow up on a booking before or after it is confirmed.
Musicians
- Musicians can reply to messages received from clients.
- Musicians cannot search for clients or initiate a new conversation. A conversation can only begin when a client reaches out first.
Moderators
- Moderators can send messages to both clients and musicians.
- Moderator messages are typically used for support, dispute resolution, or important platform notifications.
3. Chat Options
Inside any conversation, you can access additional options by clicking the three-dot menu ( ⋮ ) in the top right corner of the chat. The following options are available:
| Option | Description |
| Profile | View the public profile of the person you are messaging. |
| Mute Notification | Mute notifications for this conversation. You will still receive messages but will not be alerted. |
| Clear Chat | Remove all messages from the conversation on your end. This action only affects your view and cannot be undone. |
| Delete Chat | Permanently delete the entire conversation from your account. This action cannot be undone. |
| Report | Report the conversation or user for inappropriate behaviour. See Section 4 for full details. |
4. Reporting Inappropriate Behaviour
The Report option is available to both clients and musicians and should be used when you experience or witness any inappropriate behaviour within a conversation.
- Reports may include — but are not limited to — harassment, abusive language, threats, spam, or any conduct that violates our platform policies.
- Every report is reviewed seriously by our moderation team and appropriate action will be taken.
- Your report is confidential. The reported party will not be notified that you have submitted a report.
5. File Upload Limits
When sharing files within a conversation, the following size limits apply:
| File Type | Maximum Size |
| Images & all other files | 5 MB |
| Videos | 15 MB |
Files that exceed these limits will not be sent. If your file is too large, consider compressing it or using a file-sharing service and sharing the link in the chat instead.
